Directors and Teachers

Blythe Zemel, Director/Lead Fine Arts Teacher is a recognized studio artist that lives in Boerne, TX with. She has her B.A. in Art History and a minor in Studio Art and completed a teaching certification program in Art Education. She has directed and run various art programs for public schools, private schools, homeschool programs, and after-school programs over the past 11 years. Her photography and art has earned various recognition, including from National Geographic, and has been featured on TV, in international publications, and in art shows over the years.

Lauren Taylor, Director, Curriculum Assistant, is an art teacher at one of the most prestigious private schools in the nation, with 13 years of teaching experience, a M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction, she takes art curriculum planning to a whole new level. She has taught in both the public and private sector and at the Glassell School of Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. She has been featured on the news multiple times for her initiatives in her current art program. She is also a very gifted studio artist that specializes in drawing, among other media.

Jennifer Kulick, Fiber Arts Teacher, Owner of Suzoo’s Wool Works which is over 20 years old and was first a Rug Hooking Studio then grew up in to a yarn shop. From there Suzoo’s has grown in to a purveyor of yarn, fiber, wool fabric, wool . The shop was founded in Costa Mesa, CA then moved to Bandera, TX in 2014. IMG_5434Suzoo’s Wool Works has been through many transformations over the years to meet the needs of the fiber arts community. I focus in on yarns and fibers that are 100% Made in the U.S.A. We have been proudly selling Brown Sheep and Kraemer yarns for nearly 12 years now. Both companies are U.S. born and raised. Brown Sheep has been a fav in the knit, spin and felt communities. Kraemer produces some of our favorite washable yarns and you will see Perffection DK on the shelves for any use from baby to adult knit projects. In 2007 The Sheepwalk Fiber Arts Studio™ was born and meant to be a product of Suzoo’s. You see, Suzoo’s isn’t just about selling yarn.  We also bring hand crafted finished goods to the local market.
