Hot Rod Taxi Tour - Boerne, TX

Sounds cool, huh? But, what does it mean?  Think of this event as a horse and carriage ride, but you just get to ride in the best cars and trucks around. Yes, that’s right, you will no longer need to admire sweet rides from a distance at a car show. At this event, you can actually pay to get in them and cruise.

RodRides is bringing the plan, Hot Rod Garage and Soda Pops are bringing their local love of cars, and the AgriCultural Museum and Arts Center is bringing the space to help raise funds for the nonprofit,  Girl with Grit Program and give the people of Boerne, TX the coolest tour of our town possible. 100% of proceeds will go to the nonprofit.

WHEN: APRIL 3rd, 2021, RIDES AVAILABLE 1PM – 4PM

WHAT: PAY TO RIDE IN THE COOLEST CARS IN TOWN (100% OF PROCEEDS BENEFIT GIRL WITH GRIT PROGRAM)

WHERE: AGRICULTURAL MUSEUM AND ARTS CENTER, 102 CITY PARK RD, BOERNE, TX

PARTNERED WITH SODA POPS AND HOT ROD GARAGE, THE CREATORS OF THE ORIGINAL HOT ROD NIGHT, AND THE AGRICULTURAL MUSEUM AND ARTS CENTER IN SUPPORT OF  THE NONPROFIT, GIRL WITH GRIT PROGRAM

WHAT CAN A PASSENGER EXPECT?

Vehicles will take you on a tour of what makes Boerne, Boerne. Drivers will take a route through our town and you can expect to spend 25 minutes cruising the streets all while learning fun facts, history, and supporting the nonprofit, Girl with Grit Program.

We ask that you arrive at the AgriCultural Museum and Arts Center, 102 City Road, 15 minutes prior to your booking.

Drivers are generously using their time and vehicles to help us raise funds. We encourage you to tip your driver!

You can see vehicles and times available online. Please book online prior to the event. All bookings are nonrefundable. Walk-up bookings will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

WHAT CAN A DRIVER EXPECT?

Rather than sitting and showing your ride at a traditional car show, you’ll be driving passengers for a 25 minute trip showing the town. You’ll share some stories and give them a cool experience. RodRides will organize the event, bookings based on your schedule, and payment.

Driver Payments: For fundraising for our affilated nonprofit programs, RodRides donates 100% of the proceeds to the cause. For rides where the driver keeps the fare, they get 70% of the fare.

Requirements:

All vehicles must be registered with the state, insured, and street legal.

We have a passenger code of conduct and terms and conditions to protect our drivers. Our goal is to make this an event that is fun for everyone, all while benefiting the Girl with Grit Program.

Outside of your name and vehicle, your registration information will remain confidential.

You can cancel your registration anytime.

Can’t participate April 3rd at the AgriCultural Museum and Arts Center? Still register, we have more events planned.

Still have questions?

Girl with Grit Program

Girl with Grit Program is a nonprofit in Boerne, TX that has gotten the attention of strong women, car lovers, and many more around the country as the girls work on their 1935 Chevy Truck and launch their own businesses.

The program seeks to teach young women and girls “We can do it!” through real life experiences and examples. Girls do everything from design and sell products to art and artisan work to skilled trades.

The program originally was developed by Blythe Zemel (Blythe Arts and Safety Sasses) and has garnered board members Staci Andrews from the locally famed Soda Pops and Ashley Robertson from ToyMakerz on History Channel. The board is filled with other strong and impressive women from all walks of life.

We believe that strong girls grow up to be strong women!
